Description of Property:
1.3 miles up Cement Hill from SR-49. Directly adjacent to Bluebird Farms( part of LLAN). Flat to slightly sloped, cleared of trees, full sun during the day, except early morning/ late afternoon. Good soil, has not been turned over in years, currently wild grass growing. Has been residential for 30+ years and never planted.
Additional Notes:
We would lke to use the land for good things and have been told it is ideal for planting/orchard. We don't want to plant and not use, so would like to donate land to someone who would put it to good use. We would like to offer labor as far as building fencing, etc. and learn about farming. Small plot (2 arces) suitable for single farmer or family?

Description of Property:
Very near Hwy 20 at the Parks Bar Bridge and a UC Davis agricultural field station. The property is zoned AR15 and consists of 30 total acres from 300' to 840' elevation, sloping down to the west with great southern exposure and incredible views. It is oak grassland with blue oaks, gray pines and little brush. Our house is at 600' elevation. The lower part of the property is the most level and could accommodate cows, horses, sheep, goats, or llamas, or be used to grow grains. 650' of deer fencing surrounds orchard and raised bed area just below the house. The orchard consists of 16 fruit trees of different types, including citrus. The large house pad area has plenty of room for chickens and smaller animals. The soil is rocky clay.
Additional Notes:
My wife and I have found that we are able to do very little by ourselves to develop the property's great agricultural potential. We would love to partner with someone who would wish to care for the fruit trees, plant the raised beds, and use other parts of the property for farming or livestock.
We are very supportive of Permaculture principles, organic and sustainable farming.
This land could produce a LOT of food!

Dry Creek Herb Farm

Existing Infrastructure:
3000 sq ft ranch house; caretaker's cabin (occupied); garden shed/farm stand; herb gardens; large garden space; apple, plum, fig, olive orchard; large greensward (lawn) for events; creek/pond; large mint field between house & road; NID; barn; fencing.
Housing:
negotiable
Location
Grass Valley, CA 95949

39° 2' 31.4232" N, 121° 5' 46.482" W

Description of Property:
The property is both flat and sloped. It faces NE. In the afternoons there is shade from the hill in the west. The garden area has been worked for decades, and the orchard is old. There are herb gardens in place. The soil surrounding the house is fertile, and easy to farm. There is an old farm wagon from the 1800's that would be great for...and, there is an old wind mill from North Dakota in the mint field. The soil up on the hill is is typical Nevada County clay, but has been used for grains in the past. NID (open ditch) runs the length of the property.
Additional Notes:
This land is the last undeveloped parcel on the corner of Wolf Road and Hwy 49. Everyone who is traveling from Auburn to Grass Valley drives by. It is a community landmark. It was well-populated by the natives before us, and we want to honor that spirit. We are developing classes/apprenticeships linking spirit, art, herbs, and our environment. I am an Environmental Art Therapist, and my classes will offer CEU's. My vision is for a healed self within a healed world. We would like to lease parcels to farmers, and they would have use of the "Seed Sanctuary Farm Stand." They would have the privilege to teaching classes also, if desired. We are looking to collaborate with those with farming passion and experience - and who hold a strong commitment to assist in the healing of our beautiful Earth.
